Up-and-coming batsman Muhammad Hurraira praised the fitness camps and off-season training he underwent after batting for the entire day during the first unofficial Test match between Pakistan A and Bangladesh A in Darwin.
Hurraira did extremely well in the match, scoring 218 runs in the first innings as Pakistan A won by 148 runs.
The 22-year-old from Sialkot is one of the brightest rising stars in the country and currently averages 56.24 in first-class cricket, which has led to many people backing him to break into the Test team really soon.
“I batted the whole day, and our fitness camps and off-season training came in handy,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Hurraira was not part of Pakistan’s squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup, where the men in green lost to the United States of America and India before rebounding to defeat Canada and Ireland.
Despite winning their last two group stage matches, they were unable to make it to the Super Eights.
