Fakhar Zaman: “Even when we’re sitting and watching him bat in the nets, we marvel at how he bats on tough wickets”

Pakistan big-hitting batsman Fakhar Zaman said he is amazed at how limited overs captain Babar Azam is able to bat on tough wickets so easily.
Zaman noted that even when batting in the nets, the 29-year-old makes it look effortless.
Azam has been Pakistan’s most consistent run-scorer in all three formats over the past couple of years and recently featured in the 2024 T20 World Cup, where he scored 122 runs in four matches at an average of 40.66 and a strike-rate of 101.66.
“Even when we’re sitting and watching him bat in the nets, we marvel at how he bats on tough wickets,” Zaman was quoted as saying by Cricwick.
Zaman also featured in the T20 World Cup, but only managed to make 33 runs in four games at an average of 8.25 and a strike-rate of 110.
Pakistan lost to the United States of America and India before bouncing back to take down Canada and Ireland.
Despite triumphing in their last two group stage matches, the men in green failed to progress to the Super Eights.
