Kamran Akmal: “His (Babar’s) main job is to play cricket and he is remarkable in it”

Kamran Akmal, the former wicketkeeper-batsman, said Pakistan limited overs captain Babar Azam is a “remarkable” batsman.
Azam has been Pakistan’s most consistent run-scorer in all three formats for the last few years and has won the team matches on numerous occasions.
In the recently concluded 2024 T20 World Cup, the 29-year-old finished as Pakistan’s highest run-scorer with 122 runs in four matches at an average of 40.66 and a strike-rate of 101.66
“His (Babar’s) main job is to play cricket and he is remarkable in it,” Akmal told ARY News as quoted by Cricwick.
Pakistan lost to the United States of America and India in the T20 World Cup before fighting back to beat Canada and Ireland.
Despite ending the group stage on a high, they were unable to make it through to the Super Eights.
