Salman Ali Agha, the middle order batsman, has admitted that his favourite player to bat with in ODIs is wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan.
He noted that they have put together strong partnerships and “share the same pattern or style of play.”
On top of that, both of them play a positive brand of cricket, which makes it easier for them to score runs.
“Most of my partnerships have been with Rizwan in ODIs till now. I enjoy playing with him, and I think we both share the same pattern or style of play. Both of us try to play positive cricket. As of yet, he is my favourite partner so far,” Salman was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Rizwan was recently in action in the 2024 T20 World Cup and scored 110 runs in four matches, which included a top score of 53 not out, at an average of 36.66 and a strike-rate of 90.90.
As for Salman, he was not part of the squad.
Pakistan kicked off their T20 World Cup campaign with back-to-back losses to the United States of America and India before bouncing back to defeat Canada and Ireland.
However, those two triumphs went in vain as Pakistan were eliminated in the group stage of the tournament.
