Atiq-uz-Zaman on Babar Azam: “Never heard him saying he has pressure or yeah he made wrong decisions etc. One of the weakest captains in Pakistan history”

Former wicketkeeper-batsman Atiq-uz-Zaman believes Babar Azam is “one of the weakest captains in Pakistan history”.
Azam used to lead the men in green in all three formats before stepping down from the leadership role in November 2023.
Fast forward to March 2024 and he was reappointed as limited overs skipper.
However, his future as captain appears to be up in the air again following Pakistan’s dismal campaign in the 2024 T20 World Cup.
Atiq pointed out that he has never heard Azam admit to being under pressure or making wrong decisions, which is why he thinks the 29-year-old is among the poorest captains Pakistan has ever had.
“Never heard him saying he has pressure or yeah he made wrong decisions etc. One of the weakest captains in Pakistan history,” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
In the T20 World Cup, Azam made 122 runs in four matches at an average of 40.66 and a strike-rate of 101.66.
Pakistan started off with consecutive losses over the United States of America and India before fighting back to take down Canada and Ireland.
However, those two victories went in vain as the men in green were knocked out in the group stage of the competition.
