Former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria wants to know why the selectors are constantly overlooking batsmen Kamran Ghulam and Sahibzada Farhan.
Farhan played for Pakistan in their T20I series against New Zealand in January 2024, but was dropped after failing to perform in two matches.
As for Ghulam, he was recently in action in the President’s Cup Grade-I (1-Day) tournament and was the second-highest run-scorer with 360 runs in six matches for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited, which included two centuries and a fifty, at an average of 72.
Given that Ghulam and Farhan have both been top performers in domestic cricket for quite some time, Kaneria doesn’t understand why they aren’t representing Pakistan at the international level.
“Batters like Kamran Ghulam and Sahibzada Farhan have been constantly scoring loads of runs in the domestic circuit, where are these guys?” he told Sports Now as quoted by NDTV.
The Pakistan team were just involved in the 2024 T20 World Cup and started off by losing to the United States of America and India before rebounding to beat Canada and Ireland.
However, their consecutive victories went in vain as they ended up being knocked out in the group stage of the competition.
