Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh believes bowlers won’t be too concerned about bowling to Pakistan limited overs captain Babar Azam as he is not an aggressive batsman.
Azam is known for being a more orthodox player and usually doesn’t play explosive big shots.
Due to this, Harbhajan thinks opposition bowlers won’t be afraid of getting hit all over the park and will feel more comfortable when going up against the 29-year-old.
“The bowler won’t be worried too much about Babar because he doesn’t hit out,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Azam recently captained Pakistan in the 2024 T20 World Cup and scored 122 runs in four matches at an average of 40.66 and a strike-rate of 101.66.
The men in green began their campaign with successive losses to the United States of America and India before fighting back to beat Canada and Ireland.
Their back-to-back wins went in vain, however, as they were knocked out in the group stage of the tournament.
