Pakistan top order batsman Abid Ali has lavished praise on fast bowler Naseem Shah, calling him a “champion” and a “hero”.
Naseem has become one of the key members of Pakistan’s pace attack in all three formats despite only being 21 years old.
Recently, the bowling maestro was in action in the 2024 T20 World Cup, where he took five wickets in three matches at an average of 14.20 and an economy rate of 5.91.
“Champion, hero Naseem Shah,” Abid said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Pakistan lost to the United States of America and India in the T20 World Cup before bouncing back to take down Canada and Ireland.
Despite ending the group stage with back-to-back wins, it was not enough to get them through to the Super Eights.
