Aamer Jamal: “I moved to Australia because I wasn’t getting chances but I came back to represent Pakistan”

Pakistan pace bowler Aamer Jamal said he initially moved to Australia as he wasn’t getting enough chances to play in his home country.
Jamal’s hard work and match opportunities in Australia helped him improve his game and he later returned to Pakistan, where he rose up the ranks before ultimately representing the national team.
The 27-year-old from Mianwali stole the spotlight when he made his Test debut in the three-match series against Australia as he took 18 wickets at an average of 20.44.
He also scored 143 runs, which included a career-best knock of 82, at an average of 28.60.
“I moved to Australia because I wasn’t getting chances but I came back to represent Pakistan,” Jamal told PakPassion.
After dominating against the Baggy Greens, Jamal featured in a T20I series against New Zealand in January 2024, but after failing to perform in two matches, he hasn’t been picked in the national team since.
The Pakistan team recently featured in the 2024 T20 World Cup, where they lost to the United States of America and India before bouncing back to beat Canada and Ireland.
Despite winning those two games, they ended up being eliminated in the group stage of the competition.
