Mohammad Hafeez: “The whole Pakistan team can cover two kilometres in 10 minutes while Azam Khan will take 20 minutes to cover the distance”

Former Pakistan team director Mohammad Hafeez has lashed out at wicketkeeper-batsman Azam Khan for his poor fitness, saying he needs 20 minutes to run two kilometres.
To put this into perspective, Hafeez pointed out that the rest of the team can cover the same distance in 10 minutes.
Azam’s weight and general fitness have been a constant talking points throughout his career, even though he has worked hard on it.
“The whole Pakistan team can cover two kilometres in 10 minutes while Azam Khan will take 20 minutes to cover the distance,” Hafeez was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Azam, 25, recently represented Pakistan in the 2024 T20 World Cup and was dismissed for a golden duck against the United States of America, which is the only match he played.
The men in green lost to the United States of America and India before bouncing back with consecutive wins over Canada and Ireland.
Despite this, they ended up being eliminated in the group stage of the competition.
