Atiq-uz-Zaman: “You have so many top-class wicketkeepers. You ruined Rohail Nazir, who was a talented wicketkeeper”

Former cricketer Atiq-uz-Zaman has accused Pakistan of ruining talented wicketkeeper-batsman Rohail Nazir.
Nazir was once considered a rising star in the country, but his stock has cooled substantially despite his solid performances in domestic cricket.
Most recently, he was in action in the President’s Cup Grade-I (1-Day) and scored 100 runs in five matches for Khan Research Laboratories at an average of 25.
“You have so many top-class wicketkeepers. You ruined Rohail Nazir, who was a talented wicketkeeper,” Atiq was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Nazir was not part of Pakistan’s squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup, where the men in green lost to the United States of America and India before beating Canada and Ireland.
Even though they won their last two games, it was not enough to earn them a spot in the Super Eights and their campaign thus ended in the group stage.
