Rashid Latif: “Babar doesn’t have that captaincy acumen”

Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Rashid Latif believes Babar Azam “doesn’t have that captaincy acumen”.
Azam is currently in his second stint as captain, but his leadership skills have once again been called into question following the men in green’s disastrous 2024 T20 World Cup campaign.
Pakistan lost their first two games to the United States of America and India before bouncing back to defeat Canada and Ireland.
Despite winning those two matches, they were eliminated in the group stage of the tournament.
Azam led by example with the bat, scoring 122 runs in four matches at an average of 40.66 and a strike-rate of 101.66.
However, considering how poorly the men in green did in the T20 World Cup, Latif admitted that he isn’t convinced about the 29-year-old as captain.
“Babar doesn’t have that captaincy acumen,” he told The Indian Express.
