Sarfraz Nawaz: “I would say that Sahibzada Farhan should have been in the team; he was the most deserving”

Former Pakistan seamer Sarfraz Nawaz said batsman Sahibzada Farhan should be in the T20I team right now as he is the “most deserving” player.
Farhan has performed well in domestic cricket and got a chance to make his international comeback in Pakistan’s T20I series against New Zealand in January 2024.
However, after failing to perform in the two games he was picked for, the 28-year-old was subsequently dropped again.
Nawaz cannot understand why the selectors gave Farhan such a short run in the team and hopes to see the Charsadda native back in the Pakistan squad in the near future.
“I would say that Sahibzada Farhan should have been in the team; he was the most deserving,” he told Cricket Pakistan.
Pakistan recently featured in the 2024 T20 World Cup, where they lost to the United States of America and India before taking down Canada and Ireland.
Even though they ended the group stage with a 2-2 record, they were unable to advance to the Super Eights.
