Mohammad Amir said Pakistan fast bowler Naseem Shah has many ways of getting batsmen out since he has plenty of variations in his arsenal.
Naseem’s wicket-taking ability has made him one of the key members of the Pakistan pace attack in Tests, ODIs and T20Is.
Recently, the 21-year-old was involved in the 2024 T20 World Cup and took five wickets in three games at an average of 14.20 and an economy rate of 5.91.
“He has quite a lot of variations in his bowling – he can rattle the stumps as well as trap the batter LBW – because he bowls at a Test length – which is what you require early on in the ODI format,” Amir said on his YouTube channel as quoted by Cricket Pakistan.
Amir was also involved in the T20 World Cup and finished with seven wickets in four matches at an average of 10.28 and an economy rate of 4.50.
Pakistan lost their first two games against the United States of America and India before fighting back to beat Canada and Ireland.
Despite winning their last two matches, the men in green were eliminated in the group stage of the competition.
