Sarfraz Nawaz: “Salman Ali Agha, you have dropped him from the team, but in my opinion, he was the best fit for the middle order”

Former Pakistan pace bowler Sarfraz Nawaz expressed confusion over the decision to drop Salman Ali Agha, saying “he was the best fit for the middle order”.
Salman has done well for the men in green in Tests and ODIs, where he averages 42.57 and 40.58 respectively.
The 30-year-old, who last played for Pakistan in January 2024, has yet to make his T20I debut. However, given the team’s middle order woes, there is a possibility he could be called up in the future.
What makes his selection even more feasible is the fact that he dominated with the bat in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he accumulated 310 runs in 12 matches for Islamabad United, which included two fifties, at an average of 31 and a strike-rate of 140.27.
“Salman Ali Agha, you have dropped him from the team, but in my opinion, he was the best fit for the middle order,” Nawaz told Cricket Pakistan.
Salman was not part of Pakistan’s team for the 2024 T20 World Cup, where the men in green lost their first two matches against the United States of America and India before rebounding to take down Canada and Ireland.
Even though they picked up two wins in the group stage, it was not enough for Pakistan to move on to the Super Eights.

He is better than existing players on said position. If Azam khan plays in team even I can play or sense better than him.
