Mohammad Kaif: “Fakhar Zaman plays a little fast. If he fires, he can probably win the match alone”

Former India batsman Mohammad Kaif acknowledged that Pakistan big-hitter Fakhar Zaman can win matches on his own if he gets going.
Zaman has proven how deadly he can over the past few months, having enjoyed a run of good form.
However, the 34-year-old began to lose momentum during the 2024 T20 World Cup, where he made 33 runs in four matches at an average of 8.25 and a strike-rate of 110.
Nonetheless, Kaif seems to rate the Mardan native very highly and doesn’t see him being removed from the Pakistan team anytime soon.
“Fakhar Zaman plays a little fast. If he fires, he can probably win the match alone,” he told Star Sports as quoted by Cricket Pakistan.
Pakistan lost their first two T20 World Cup matches against the United States of America and India before securing back-to-back wins over Canada and Ireland.
However, it was too little, too late as the men in green were eliminated in the group stage of the competition.
