Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Rashid Latif has taken aim at the national team, saying “there is a smell of bigotry and grouping.”
Latif feels that biases have been prevalent and cliques have started forming between certain players.
Recently, the former captain also predicted that the men in green will fall apart if they fail to win the 2024 T20 World Cup, predicting
“There is a smell of bigotry and grouping from the Pakistan team,” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The Pakistan team recently featured in a five-match T20I series against New Zealand, which concluded as a 2-2 draw.
Afterwards, they travelled to Ireland and played three T20Is, which they ended up winning 2-1.
Pakistan’s next assignment will see them play four T20Is against England from May 22 to May 30.
Following this, they will be in action in the T20 World Cup, which will be held in the West Indies and United States of America from June 1 to 29.
Pakistan’s first T20 World Cup game will be against the United States of America in Dallas on June 6.
