Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif sees the national team “falling apart” if they fail to win the 2024 T20 World Cup.
The tournament will be held in the West Indies and United States of America from June 1 to 29.
In addition to being crowned champions, Latif said the men in green must also triumph over their arch-rivals India.
“I see this team falling apart. If they don’t win the World Cup, they’ll be seen crumbling. Winning the match against India is necessary. It feels like the 90s era has returned,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Many of the national players just took part in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL), which was won by Islamabad United.
Pakistan’s next assignment will be a five-match T20I series against New Zealand, which will be played in Rawalpindi and Lahore from April 18 to 27.
