Pakistan limited overs captain Babar Azam said his cover drive is his strength as his confidence surges whenever he plays the shot.
Many former and current cricketers believe the 29-year-old has the best-looking cover drive out of all international players today.
Azam acknowledged that he put in a lot of hard work to perfect his cover drive as he wanted to ensure there were no technical flaws with it.
“My cover drive is my strength; playing this shot boosts my confidence. I have worked hard for the cover drive, and now I am considered an expert to some extent,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Azam recently captained the men in green in a five-match T20I series against New Zealand and amassed 125 runs in five games, which included a top score of 69, at an average of 31.25 and a strike-rate of 138.88.
He then proceeded to make 132 runs in three T20Is against Ireland, which included two fifties, at an average of 44 and a strike-rate of 148.31.
Next up for Pakistan will be four T20Is against England from May 22 to May 30.
