Pakistan left-arm seamer Mohammad Amir has conceded that it is impossible for him to guarantee that he won’t make mistakes in the future.

He noted that he is human like everyone else, but will try and avoid repeating the same mistakes as he is always looking to learn and get better.

The 32-year-old’s comments come after he recently made his international comeback in Pakistan’s five-match T20I series against New Zealand, where he took three wickets in four games at an average of 28.66 and an economy rate of 8.32.

“No one could guarantee that. To err is human as I am not in a position to guarantee anything like that. We can only try and that is in my power,” Amir was quoted as saying by Geo Super.

Amir is now part of Pakistan’s squad for their ongoing three-match T20I series against Ireland.

After that series, the men in green will play four T20Is against England from May 22 to May 30.

Pakistan Squad for Ireland and England T20I Series: Babar Azam (capt), Abrar Ahmed, Azam Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Irfan Khan, Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Usman Khan
