Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood feels that batsman Babar Azam is not out of form, even though he has failed to score runs regularly as of late.

The men in green tend to rely on Azam in all three formats as he has been their go-to run-scorer and led the team to victory on numerous occasions.

Since that hasn’t been happening consistently over the last few months, concerns have been raised about the 29-year-old and how long it will take him to get back to his best.

However, Masood stressed that he is not overly worried and knows the limited overs captain is good enough to bounce back from the tough spot he currently finds himself in.

“I didn’t feel like Babar is out of form. I don’t think personally there is much [of a] concern for me regarding his form,” he told Cricwick.

Azam recently captained Pakistan in their five-match T20I series against New Zealand and made 125 runs in five games, which included a top score of 69, at an average of 31.25 and a strike-rate of 138.88.

Pakistan’s next assignment will be a three-match T20I series against Ireland from May 10 to 14.

Following that, they will play four T20Is against England from May 22 to May 30.
