Pakistan spinner Imad Wasim: “I think I’m happy playing cricket, I’m fit and trying to contribute as much as possible. I’ve four [to] five years of cricket left in me”

Pakistan left-arm spinner Imad Wasim said he still has another “four [to] five years of cricket left in me” and hopes to make the most of it.
The 35-year-old recently reversed his decision to retire from international cricket and played for Pakistan in their five-match T20I series against New Zealand.
Considering how useful he is and his brilliant performance for Islamabad United in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL), it is likely the men in green will continue picking him in the lead-up to the 2024 T20 World Cup.
Imad took 12 wickets in 12 matches in PSL 9 at an average of 20.91 and an economy rate of 6.60.
He also contributed with the bat, accumulating 126 runs, which included a top score of 59 not out, at an average of 21 and a strike-rate of 128.57.
“I think I’m happy playing cricket, I’m fit and trying to contribute as much as possible. I’ve four [to] five years of cricket left in me,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Islamabad won PSL 9 after beating the Multan Sultans by two wickets in the final.
In the T20I series against New Zealand, which ended as a 2-2 draw, Imad featured in two matches and took one wicket at an average of 37 and an economy rate of 7.40.
