Michael Clarke: “His fielding has been the standout. Since I’ve been in Pakistan, Shadab Khan has been the pick of the fielders”

Former Australia captain Michael Clarke feels Pakistan spin-bowling all-rounder Shadab Khan was “the pick of the fielders” in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Clarke, who commentated during the tournament, said Shadab’s athleticism in the field really stood out to him due to his ability to take excellent catches and save runs.
“His fielding has been the standout. Since I’ve been in Pakistan, Shadab Khan has been the pick of the fielders,” he was quoted as saying by respected journalist Saj Sadiq on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Shadab captained Islamabad United in PSL 9 and played an instrumental role in their road to the title as he picked up 14 wickets in 12 games at an average of 26.85 and an economy rate of 8.54.
In addition to that, he also amassed 305 runs, which included three fifties, at an average of 30.50 and a strike-rate of 142.52.
Pakistan are now laying a five-match T20I series against New Zealand, which is being held in Rawalpindi and Lahore until April 27.
