Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood has heaped praise on up-and-coming left-arm spinner Arafat Minhas, calling him a “good player.”

Masood’s comments come after he played alongside Minhas while leading the Karachi Kings in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL).

In the two games he played, the 19-year-old took one wicket at an average of 11 and an economy rate of 2.75.

Considering how young Minhas is, Masood acknowledged he is a cricketer to keep an eye on going forward.

“Arafat Minhas is a good player,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.

The Kings failed to advance to the playoffs in PSL 9 as they finished in fifth place on the points table with four wins out of the 10 matches they played.

Pakistan’s next assignment will be a five-match T20I series against New Zealand in Rawalpindi and Lahore from April 18 to 27.
