Quetta Gladiators captain Rilee Rossouw lauded Pakistan left-arm seamer Mohammad Amir for his bowling performance in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Amir, who recently reversed his decision to retire from international cricket, played for the Gladiators in PSL 9 and took 10 wickets in nine matches at an average of 28.60 and an economy rate of 8.41.

Rossouw noted that what made the 31-year-old’s bowling so impressive was the fact that the pitches used in the tournament didn’t “really suit the fast bowlers.”

“Leading the chart was Mohammad Amir, on surfaces that don’t really suit the fast bowlers, he did a phenomenal job,” he was quoted as saying by Geo Super.

The Gladiators managed to make it to the playoffs, but saw their campaign come to an end when they lost to Islamabad United in Eliminator 1.
