Pakistan left-arm seamer Mohammad Amir has made it clear he and spin-bowling all-rounder Imad Wasim have no issue with re-appointed limited overs captain Babar Azam.

There had been rumours of a rift between the two bowlers and Azam, but Amir was quick to ask when he or Imad have ever verbally attacked the 29-year-old personally.

His comments come after he and Imad both reversed their decisions to retire from international cricket, meaning they are now available to be selected for Pakistan once again.

“When did Imad Wasim or I ever attack Babar Azam personally?” Amir was quoted as saying by journalist Farid Khan on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Amir recently played for the Quetta Gladiators in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and took 10 wickets in nine matches at an average of 28.60 and an economy rate of 8.41.

Imad, meanwhile, represented Islamabad United and claimed 12 wickets in 12 games at an average of 20.91 and an economy rate of 6.60.

He also scored 126 runs, which included a top score of 59 not out, at an average of 21 and a strike-rate of 128.57.

As for Azam, he captained the Peshawar Zalmi and finished as the highest run-scorer in PSL 9 with 569 runs in 11 matches, which included a century and five fifties, at an average of 56.90 and a strike-rate of 142.60.
