Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja said batsman Mohammad Haris “should learn to play from Babar Azam.”
Azam has been a consistent run-scorer for many years now, while Haris showed plenty of promise but has failed to deliver regularly.
Ramiz doesn’t want to see the 22-year-old’s career go to waste and urged him to follow in the footsteps of Azam so that he can get back on track and start competing for a spot in the Pakistan team again.
“Haris should learn to play from Babar Azam,” he was quoted as saying by journalist Farid Khan on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Both Azam and Haris played for the Peshawar Zalmi in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL), with the former captaining the franchise and being the highest run-scorer in the tournament with 569 runs in 11 matches, which included a century and five fifties, at an average of 56.90 and a strike-rate of 142.60.
As for Haris, he finished with 142 runs in 10 games at an average of 15.77 and a strike-rate of 132.71.
