Pakistan seamer Mohammad Wasim Jnr: “If I get the opportunity, I’m going to swing hard and make sure I clear that boundary”

Pakistan pace bowler Mohammad Wasim Jnr said he is going to swing as hard as he can and make sure he hits a six if he is facing the last ball of the innings.
Wasim Jnr is one of the brightest pace prospects in the country, but is also a handy lower order batsman who can score quick runs.
The 22-year-old recently played for the Quetta Gladiators in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and head coach Shane Watson spoke about turning him into Pakistan’s version of West Indies big-hitting all-rounder Andre Russell.
With a power-hitting approach instilled in his mindset, Wasim Jnr confirmed that he will keep playing a go big or go home style of cricket whenever he finds himself at the crease.
“If I get the opportunity, I’m going to swing hard and make sure I clear that boundary,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The North Waziristan native represented the Gladiators in eight matches during PSL 9 and took nine wickets at an average of 33 and an economy rate of 9.90.
He also mustered 30 runs at an average of six and a strike-rate of 96.77.
