
Ravi Bopara: “He’s certainly the future for Karachi Kings and some of the young bowlers coming through as well”

Karachi Kings assistant coach Ravi Bopara has chosen Pakistan batting prospect Irfan Khan as the future of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise.
This comes after the 21-year-old had a brilliant campaign for the Kings in the 2024 PSL, scoring 171 runs in nine matches at an average of 42.75 and a strike-rate of 140.16.
Even though the Kings failed the reach the playoffs in PSL 9, Bopara is excited about Irfan and the other young talent the team has.
“He’s certainly the future for Karachi Kings and some of the young bowlers coming through as well,” he was quoted as saying by A Sports.
Aside from this year’s PSL, Irfan has also made a name for himself in first-class cricket as he has amassed 800 runs in 13 matches, which includes a century and five fifties, at an average of 57.14.
