Pakistan power-hitter Mohammad Haris said he has always been known as a fast scoring batsman and doesn’t have any plans to change his playing style.
Haris has started to get criticised regularly as he is not converting many of his starts into big scores, which has been frustrating for some people.
The 22-year-old definitely has a lot of talent and is an explosive batsman when he gets going, but his inconsistent performances have been highlighted increasingly often.
Despite this, the Peshawar native has made it clear that he will continue playing an aggressive brand of cricket as it is his natural game.
“When I talk to my senior players, they always tell me that I’ve always been known as a quick scorer, so try and keep it that way,” he told Cricwick.
Haris recently represented the Peshawar Zalmi in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and amassed 142 runs in 10 matches at an average of 15.77 and a strike-rate of 132.71.
The Zalmi managed to make it to the playoffs, but saw their campaign come to an end after they lost to the Multan Sultans in the Qualifier and eventual champions Islamabad United in Eliminator 2.
