Legendary Pakistan left-arm seamer Wasim Akram admitted that opening batsman Sahibzada Farhan “looked clueless” when facing swing bowling in the recently-concluded 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Wasim conceded it was concerning to see how difficult Farhan found it to score against the moving ball, especially considering that he is used to opening the batting.
The Sultan of Swing noted that the 28-year-old from Charsadda needs to work on this issue and fix it as soon as possible.
“Sahibzada [Farhan] looked clueless as if he has never played swing bowling,” he said on A-Sports show The Pavilion.
Farhan played for the Lahore Qalandars in PSL 9 and accumulated 266 runs in eight matches, which included three fifties, at an average of 38 and a strike-rate of 133.66.
The Qalandars had a dismal campaign overall as they only managed to win one out of the 10 games they played.
