Pakistan batsman Salman Ali Agha believes Shadab Khan is the “best all-rounder” in the country at the moment.
Shadab is one of Pakistan’s go-to spinners in limited overs cricket, but is also a very handy batsman who tends to bat lower order the order when playing international cricket.
In the recent 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL), the 25-year-old batted in the top order en route to captaining Islamabad United to the title.
Shadab scored 305 runs in 12 matches, which included three fifties, at an average of 30.50 and a strike-rate of 142.52.
The Mianwali native also took 14 wickets at an average of 26.85 and an economy rate of 8.54.
Considering that Shadab is also an exceptional fielder, Agha conceded that he sees no one beating him as Pakistan’s number one all-rounder right now.
“Shadab Khan is Pakistan’s best all-rounder right now,” he was quoted as saying by journalist Farid Khan on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Agha also played for Islamabad in PSL 9 and amassed 310 runs in 12 games, which included two half-centuries, at an average of 31 and a strike-rate of 140.27.
