Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan has lavished praise on Pakistan fast bowling brothers Naseem Shah, Hunain Shah and Ubaid Shah, saying it is the “first time I have seen so much talent in the same household.”
The Shah brothers helped Islamabad triumph in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and are among the rising stars of Pakistan cricket.
Naseem has already cemented his spot in the Pakistan team in all three formats, while Hunain and Ubaid have done well in domestic cricket and for the Pakistan Under-19 team respectively.
Given how fast all of them bowl and the fact that they are legitimate wicket-takers, Shadab conceded that the trio are brimming with talent.
“The 3 Shahs have a lot of talent. This is the first time I have seen so much talent in the same household,” he was quoted as saying by respected journalist Saj Sadiq on X, formerly known as Twitter.
In PSL 9, Naseem took 15 wickets in 11 matches at an average of 22.20 and an economy rate of 7.56.
As for Hunain, he has claimed eight wickets in 10 games at an average of 28.12 and an economy rate of 9.50.
Ubaid, meanwhile, went wicketless in the two matches he played.
After progressing to the playoffs, Islamabad beat the Quetta Gladiators by 39 runs in Eliminator 1 on March 15.
They then defeated the Peshawar Zalmi by five wickets in Eliminator 2 on March 16 before going on to take down the Multan Sultans by two wickets in the final on March 18.
