Pakistan seamer Mohammad Wasim Jnr has admitted he is really enjoying bowling with “world-class bowler” Mohammad Amir.
Amir, who was once a prodigy in Pakistan, is renowned for his blistering pace and ability to swing the ball a long way.
Both players played for the Quetta Gladiators in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL), with Amir picking up 10 wickets in nine matches at an average of 28.60 and an economy rate of 8.41.
As for Wasim Jnr, he took nine wickets in eight games at an average of 33 and an economy rate of 9.90.
The 22-year-old said it has been a pleasure for him to bowl alongside Amir and noted in particular how the 31-year-old excels right at the start of a match and in the death overs as well.
“I am enjoying bowing with Mohammad Amir who is a world-class bowler. The way he bowls in the start and then in the death overs I am really enjoying bowling alongside him,” he was quoted as saying by Geo Super.
The Gladiators made it through to the PSL playoffs, but lost to Islamabad United by 39 runs in Eliminator 1 on March 15, which ended their campaign.
