Mohammad Amir: “Personally, I like Naseem Shah. To me, he is a complete bowler. It’s Pakistan’s misfortune that he got injured before the World Cup. He could have made a difference”

Pakistan left-arm seamer Mohammad Amir believes Naseem Shah is a “complete bowler” and someone who can make a huge difference.
Naseem had been in phenomenal form in the lead-up to the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup, but was ruled out of the tournament after suffering a shoulder injury.
He also missed Pakistan’s three-Test series against Australia and the five-match T20I series against New Zealand, which the men in green lost 3-0 and 4-1 respectively.
Amir admitted that it was a shame the 21-year-old got injured right before the World Cup as it ended up hurting Pakistan.
“Personally, I like Naseem Shah. To me, he is a complete bowler. It’s Pakistan’s misfortune that he got injured before the World Cup. He could have made a difference,” he was quoted as saying by NDTV.
Naseem has made a full recovery from his shoulder injury and is now playing for Islamabad United in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL), while Amir is representing the Quetta Gladiators.
