Quetta Gladiators captain Rilee Rossouw said is “outstanding to see” Pakistan middle order batsman Saud Shakeel playing “fearless cricket” in the ongoing 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Shakeel has cemented his spot in the Test side with a number of strong performances and has also started being used more in ODIs.

However, the 28-year-old has expressed his desire to represent Pakistan in all three formats and is targeting a call-up to the T20I team by dominating in PSL 9.

“Saud played like he has been playing for years in the PSL. The fearless cricket and the shots that he played, it was outstanding to see,” Rossouw was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.

In the five matches he has played so far, Shakeel has amassed 164 runs, which includes a top score of 74, at an average of 32.80 and a strike-rate of 150.45.
