Junaid Khan, the Pakistan Under-19 team’s bowling coach, has advised up-and-coming 6 ft 8 in fast bowler Mohammad Zeehan to “forget about T20 leagues” for now.

Instead, he wants the 17-year-old from Faisalabad to work on fixing his “technical flaws” and improving his overall game.

Zeeshan skyrocketed into the spotlight not only for his height, but also for being a reliable wicket-taker while playing for the Pakistan Under-19 team.

“I’ve suggested to Mohammad Zeeshan and the other young pacers to forget about T20 leagues at this stage of their career and instead work hard on their technical flaws,” Junaid was quoted as saying by respected journalist Saj Sadiq on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Zeeshan is currently in action for the Peshawar Zalmi in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he has taken one wicket in two matches at an average of 86 and an economy rate of 10.75.
