Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed said left-arm seamer Mohammad Amir has been performing well in the last two years.
Amir retired from international cricket in December 2020 and has since featured in various T20 leagues around the world.
Sarfaraz noted that whichever side the 31-year-old is playing for has done well since the Gujar Khan native keeps on delivering.
“In the last two years, wherever Amir has played cricket, his team has been performing well,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Amir is currently playing for the Quetta Gladiators in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and has taken four wickets in four matches at an average of 34.50 and an economy rate of 8.62.
Sarfaraz, who used to be the Gladiators’ captain before being replaced by Rilee Rossouw ahead of PSL 9, has scored 12 runs in four games at an average of six and a strike-rate of 80.
