
Pakistan opener Saim Ayub: “All I know is that I have a lot left to do at the international level. I have a lot to learn. I need to improve my game a lot, which will help me dominate. I am working on those things”

Pakistan big-hitting opener Saim Ayub has admitted that he has a lot of improvements to make to his game if he wants to dominate at the international level.
The 21-year-old recently made his Test debut in the three-match series against Australia and made scores of 0 and 33 in the third Test in Sydney.
He has also featured in 12 T20Is to date and amassed 162 runs at an average of 14.72 and a strike-rate of 124.61.
Knowing that he has not lived up to expectations so far, the Karachi-born batsman is working hard to better himself so that he becomes a star in the future.
“All I know is that I have a lot left to do at the international level,” Ayub was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo. “I have a lot to learn. I need to improve my game a lot, which will help me dominate. I am working on those things.”
Recently, Ayub represented the men in green in their five-match T20I series against New Zealand and mustered 39 runs in four games at an average of 9.75 and a strike-rate of 130.
He is now playing for the Peshawar Zalmi in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and has scored 49 runs in three matches at an average of 16.33 and a strike-rate of 128.94.
