Pakistan batsman Mohammad Haris: “I’m not hurt over getting dropped, I think these things make you stronger and I have got the chance to analyse my mistakes and improve my skillset. I’ll come back as a better player”

Pakistan batsman Mohammad Haris has made it clear that he was “not hurt” after being dropped for the recent five-match T20I series against New Zealand.
He noted that being axed has only motivated him to become “stronger” and “come back as a better player.”
The 22-year-old from Peshawar added that he also used the time to rectify the mistakes in his game and make general improvements to his wide range of skills.
“I’m not hurt over getting dropped, I think these things make you stronger and I have got the chance to analyse my mistakes and improve my skillset. I’ll come back as a better player,” he was quoted as saying by Cricwick.
When announcing Pakistan’s squad for the New Zealand T20I series, chief selector Wahab Riaz confirmed that Haris had been rested in order to give other players a chance.
However, he stressed that the big-hitting youngster remains “part of our plans going forward.”
Haris will now play for the Peshawar Zalmi in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL), which begins on February 17.
