Pakistan batsman Fakhar Zaman: “I can play at the highest level for the next eight to ten years”

Pakistan top order batsman Fakhar Zaman believes that he can play at the “highest level” for another eight to ten years.
Zaman is 33 years old right now, meaning he potentially sees himself playing cricket until the age of 43.
The Mardan native is a regular face in the limited overs squads, but hasn’t played Test cricket since January 2019.
Nonetheless, he still has a burning ambition to keep representing his country for as long as he can.
“I can play at the highest level for the next eight to ten years,” he was quoted as saying by A Sports.
Zaman wasn’t picked for the recent three-match Test series against Australia, which Pakistan lost 3-0.
He did, however, play in the five-match T20I series against New Zealand and amassed 126 runs, which included a top score of 50, at an average of 25.20 and a strike-rate of 165.78.
Despite his efforts with the bat, the men in green were comprehensively beaten 4-1.
Zaman’s next assignment will be the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he will represent the Lahore Qalandars.
PSL 9 will be held from February 17 to March 18 in four cities – Lahore, Multan, Karachi and Rawalpindi.
