Well-known cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle believes Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood “played really well” in the recent three-match Test series against Australia.

Masood made his debut as captain in that series, which Pakistan lost 3-0.

Even though the men in green were whitewashed, the 34-year-old showed encouraging signs with the bat as he amassed 181 runs, which included two fifties, at an average of 30.16.

“I don’t know much about Shan Masood because he has been in and out of the side. But across all the Pakistan batters, I think Shan Masood played really well in that Australian style,” Bhogle told Cricwick.

Following the tour of Australia, Pakistan were beaten 4-1 in their five-match T20I series against New Zealand.

Masood will now captain the Karachi Kings in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL), which starts on February 17.
