Iconic Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq said current skipper Babar Azam must stop thinking that power-hitter Asif Ali can hit fours and sixes right “from the word go”.

His remarks come after Asif was included in Pakistan’s team for the T20 World Cup.

Currently, the 30-year-old is playing for Northern in the National T20 Cup, where he has been in good form.

In the seven games he has played, he has scored 124 runs at an average of 31 and a strike-rate of 174.64.

“The captain expects him to start hitting fours and sixes from the word go and during that, a player can get out quickly,” Inzamam said on his YouTube channel as quoted by ARY Sports.

Pakistan will kick off their T20 World Cup campaign against India on October 24 in Dubai.
