Inzamam-ul-Haq on Asif Ali: “These types of players, you do not depend on them all the time”

Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq said the national team can’t depend on players like Asif Ali all the time.

Asif, who is in Pakistan’s T20 World Cup team, usually bats in the middle order and his main goal revolves around scoring quick runs.

Currently, the 30-year-old is representing Northern in the National T20 Cup, where he has been in solid form.

In the seven games he has played, he has scored 124 runs at an average of 31 and a strike-rate of 174.64.

“These types of players, you do not depend on them all the time,” Inzamam said on his YouTube channel as quoted by ARY Sports.

Pakistan will kick off their T20 World Cup campaign against India on October 24 in Dubai.
