Lahore Qalandars captain Sohail Akhtar said he feels lucky to be playing with Pakistan power-hitter Mohammad Hafeez in the Kashmir Premier League (KPL).
Even though Akhtar captains the Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Hafeez is leading the Muzzaffarabad Tigers in the KPL.
Despite this, the 35-year-old is glad to be able to learn from Hafeez as he is one of Pakistan’s most experienced players that is still playing regularly.
“We get to learn from his experience and I am lucky that I will be playing in the same team with him in [the] KPL,” Akhtar told Cricket Pakistan.
In the tournament, Hafeez has scored 165 runs in five matches, which includes a top score of 110, at an average of 33 and a strike-rate of 168.36.
As for Akhtar, he has accumulated 117 runs in five games, which includes a top score of 58 not out, at an average of 39 and a strike-rate of 153.94.
