Pakistan spinner Shadab Khan said pace bowlers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Hasan Ali are match-winners who beef up the national team’s bowling attack.
His praise for the duo comes ahead of the tours of England and the West Indies.
In the recently-concluded edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Afridi was the third-highest wicket-taker with 16 wickets in 10 matches for the Lahore Qalandars at an average of 18.25 and an economy rate of 7.30.
As for Hasan, he was the joint fourth-highest wicket-taker with 13 wickets in 10 games for Islamabad United at an average of 20.69 and an economy rate of 6.75.
“Our bowling department is beefed up by Shaheen Afridi and Hasan Ali, who are match-winners. So we are very confident and hopeful of showing our full potential in the upcoming games,” Shadab told pcb.com.pk.
Pakistan will play three ODIs and three T20 Internationals against England. The ODI series will begin on July 8 and conclude on July 13, while the T20 series will be held from July 16 to 20.
The tour of the West Indies will consist of five T20 Internationals and two Tests, with the T20 series getting underway on July 27 and ending on August 3.
As for the Test series, it will start on August 12 and conclude on August 24.
