Former England captain Michael Vaughan has backed the Pakistan pace duo of Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah to “cause [a] bit of chaos” in the future.

Vaughan was highly impressed with the way they bowled during the recent series against England.

In the three-Test series, Afridi took five wickets at an average of at an average of 51.60, while Naseem claimed three wickets at an average of 69.33.

As for the three-match T20 series that followed, Afridi picked up two wickets at an average of 41, while Naseem did not feature in any of the matches.

“In that bowling attack, Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah, in particular, are two young quicks who I’m sure, over the next few years, will cause [a] bit of chaos,” Vaughan told Cricbuzz as quoted by Cricket Pakistan.
