Legendary Australia spinner Shane Warne has revealed that he loves watching the Pakistan trio of Yasir Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah.
All three of them featured in the recent series against England, and Warne admitted that he was pleased to see them perform well.
Yasir was the joint second-highest wicket-taker in the three-Test series with 11 wickets at an average of 33.45.
Afridi took five wickets at an average of at an average of 51.60, while Naseem claimed three wickets at an average of 69.33.
As for the three-match T20 series that followed, Afridi picked up two wickets at an average of 41, while Yasir and Naseem did not feature in any of the matches.
“They are such an exciting team to watch. They are well captained by Azhar Ali and it was lovely to see the spinners, especially Yasir Shah, doing well and the young fast bowlers, the 17-year-old (Naseem Shah) and the 20-year-old (Shaheen Shah Afridi),” Warne was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan. “I think it is a very exciting time for Pakistan cricket and they are a very good side.”
