Legendary Pakistan pace bowler Shoaib Akhtar has accused Twenty20 captain Babar Azam of losing the plot in the third Twenty20 International against Australia in Perth.
Not only did Australia win by 10 wickets after Pakistan completely collapsed while batting, but Azam incorrectly named 16-year-old pace bowler Naseem Shah in the playing XI after the toss.
Naseem has only been picked for the two-Test series, which will be held from November 21 to December 3.
“I understand that a captain is under pressure and might have a little confusion. But how is he under so much pressure that he loses the plot like that? This is our star player for you. They can learn a lot from here. Improving as a person and player is very important,” Akhtar said in a YouTube video as quoted by cricketpakistan.com.pk.
