Former Australia batsman Michael Hussey believes that Pakistan will be a “much better team” when they return to Australia next year for the T20 World Cup.
Hussey’s comments come after Pakistan were beaten 2-0 in their three-match Twenty20 series against Australia. However, it should be noted that the first match was abandoned due to heavy rain.
While Pakistan struggled throughout the series, Hussey pointed out that the men in green would have learned a lot and will use this learning experience as a stepping stone to become a better side.
“It was a tough series for Pakistan but I think they have learned a lot. They gave a lot of opportunities to some really good young players,” Hussey was quoted as saying by Geo News. “I am sure they’ll bounce back for the Test match first in Australia.
“Looking ahead to the T20 World Cup, I am sure they’ll come back with so much knowledge of the Australian conditions.
“They’ve got so much talent and many exciting players, they’ll come back as a much better team in 12 months’ time.”
